Danube Navigation will be improved with 1,000 new coastal signs!
The Executive Agency “Exploration and Maintenance of the Danube River” has received over 1000 new coastal signs to improve navigation safety along the Bulgarian section of the Danube. The equipment, delivered under the DISMAR, includes 528 non-illuminated coastal navigation signs, 472 pieces kilometer signs, and 20 pieces signs for coastal lighthouse. The contract, worth 299,000 leva (VAT included), was awarded through a public procurement procedure earlier this summer.
It also foresees the delivery of floating navigational signs (buoys), two non-self-propelled vessels one for each of the partners, which will be used to service the coastal signs, and the creation of a joint system for monitoring and managing navigational signs.
