๐ข Great news for cross-border cooperation on the Danube!

We are pleased to announce the official signing of the financing contract for the operation of strategic importance DANRISS 2 (ROBG00432), funded under the Interreg VI-A Romania-Bulgaria Programme.
With a total budget of nearly €4 million, the project brings together the Executive Agency Maritime Administration, Bulgaria, as Lead Partner, and the Romanian Naval Authority, Romania, to modernize and enhance ship inspection processes along the shared Romanian-Bulgarian stretch of the Danube River.
๐ DANRISS 2 aims to transform the existing DANRISS platform into an intelligent and integrated system through:
- ๐ค AI-powered inspection and risk analysis tools
- ๐ Advanced data integration and synchronization
- ๐ก๏ธ Improved safety, transparency and regulatory compliance
- ๐ข Modernized IT infrastructure and mobile inspection units
- ๐ Predictive analytics and automation capabilities
- ๐จ๐ป Training and capacity building for inspection personnel
The project contributes to safer navigation, more efficient river transport operations and stronger cross-border cooperation, while supporting sustainable and intelligent mobility in the Danube region.
